COVID-19 Protocol

Due to the aggressive nature of the COVID-19 infection, Nagare will implement the highest level of recommended safety measures for the health and wellbeing of all clients and practitioners. We invite you to become familiarized with some changes to our safe practice protocol upon our business re-opening.

It is our goal to treat every person as a whole person and this is only enhanced at this time.  To that end, please read the changes in policy to how sessions will be managed at Nagare.

Thank you for your continued support.

Find your flow - now more than ever ❤️

The NJ Governor has lifted most COVID-19 restrictions for vaccinated individuals.  We will no longer require all clients to wear masks for their sessions.

** WE WILL CONTINUE TO REQUEST THAT NON-VACCINATED CLIENTS WEAR MASKS FOR THEIR SESSIONS. In addition, while all practitioners have been fully vaccinated, we will  continue to wear masks in sessions with non-vaccinated clients.

** NEW CLIENTS - upon scheduling your first session, you are asked to send a picture of your vaccination card.  If you are unable to email a copy, please bring your card with you to your first session and be prepared to wear a mask.

All implemented changes regarding safety and sanitation are permanent.

We continue to ask that if you are not feeling well or have any symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.

The CDC is recommending anyone 65 or older remain home. However, the CDC does not know our 65 and older clients, how strong they are and how body aware they are. To those that fall in this category, please do what feels best for you. If you have had recent surgery, experience difficulty breathing in you daily life, we encourage you not to push it.

People of all ages with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, including:

  • People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma

  • People who have serious heart conditions

  • People who are immunocompromised

  • People with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 40 or higher)

  • People with diabetes

  • People with chronic kidney disease undergoing dialysis

  • People with liver disease

STAY HOME!  We are still available for Virtual Sessions and will work with you until you are able to come back into the studio.

Practicing the CDC recommendations for social distancing and hygiene

  • If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms please do not come to a private session

    • Fever

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath

    • Loss of smell or taste

  • If you have had contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not book an appointment for 4 weeks after exposure.

Changes to session protocol Our re-opening and integration of these new practices will be a slow and steady progression.

  • All sessions will be privates and there will be a half hour in between sessions for studio cleaning and to avoid clients crossing paths

  • Clients will be asked to text upon arrival and wait in their car until their instructor has told them to come in

  • Front door will remain locked at all times

  • Although hands on will NOT be used and distancing will be practiced in sessions, there are ways to instruct use of breathe and verbal coaching to help you enjoy the same release and parasympathetic response as if we did this through our hands. Hands on is a very nurturing component to Gyrotonic.  We have thought very carefully about this and will do our very best to implement creative ways to help you receive full benefit of every session.

  • Clients must wear a face mask during their session

  • Teachers will be using masks

  • We ask that every client take their temperature each day, for 2 consecutive days, prior to their session.  If you are running an elevated temperature, please reschedule your session.

  • Temperatures will be taken upon entry to the studio.  If a client is running an elevated temperature, they will be asked to reschedule.

  • Teachers will be monitoring their temperatures

  • Please leave all shoes and jackets in the front waiting room

  • Everyone is required to wash their hands before their session for the minimum of 20 seconds that is recommended by the CDC

  • If you wish to wear gloves for your session, you may

  • We are requiring that everyone book their sessions and pay online - there will be no in person payment transactions

What we’re doing to keep the studio as safe as possible - Regular cleaning at the beginning of every day, between each client and at the end of every day includes:

  • Disinfecting all commonly touched objects (ie doorknobs, light switches, faucets etc)

  • Removal of “soft” objects - pillows, wedges, rollers etc

  • Thorough cleaning of equipment

  • While we are encouraging each client to purchase a set of straps, we will be sanitizing our in house straps with a UVC light box.  UVC light boxes are commonly used to kill bacteria and some viruses; it has not been proven to kill COVID-19.  Nagare is using this as a safety measure, but this should not replace our first recommendation of purchasing your own set of straps.

To purchase a personal set of straps, follow this link

Go to Shop; Select US Store; Choose Long Double Loops.

I’ve been told by the manufacturer that US stock is low, more will be available soon.

  • Handles will be covered with disposable wraps and sprayed with alcohol after every client
